  2. I’ve been searching for places to go that are dog-friendly, so I am definitely adding Stowe to my list. How do you find being a National Trust member? I’ve been seriously considering getting a membership.

  3. LOL @ Shit Baubles! I have two boxer dogs & we’ve never once hung a bauble. I have been known to forget poo bags & cover the evidence with piles of leaves. Bet the parents of the leaf kickers love me for that one eh!

  4. Hello πŸ™‚ We loved reading your review of Wytham Woods and are so glad you feel the way you do about the site! It means a lot to us that members of the public really do enjoy visiting the woodland even with our rules in place (which, as you say above, are to protect our world-class research) – thank you for both respecting the rules and for having such a fantastic time.

P.S. If anyone reading the review has any further questions about Wytham Woods please do just get in touch on wytham.woods@admin.ox.ac.uk – we are always very happy to help.

  5. Thanks for the review. The play park has recently been upgraded by the Parish Council and much thought went into the new equipment. During the school holidays we have football goals out on the playing field and all are welcome to use them. The shop/cafe welcomes all (and caters for groups -with notice) there is seating outside also. The hall runs fitness classes and is available for hire. Visit our website westburyvillage.co.uk for more details

  6. We hope everyone enjoys our park this bank holiday weekend. Please remember that a small group of parents maintain and fundraise to keep the park open for the residents of Bucknell. Any contributions would be most welcome to help our efforts.

    Please also:

TAKE YOUR RUBBISH WITH YOU or PUT IT IN THE BIN PROVIDED

DO NOT TAKE DOGS INTO THE PARK OR FIELD AREA

PARK RESPECTFULLY. DO NOT BLOCK NEIGHBOURS ACCESS TO DRIVES OR HOMES

DO NOT BLOCK THE ENTRANCE (emergency vehicles may need access).

    Thankyou!

  7. BH have done an amazing job with the site, businesses and promoting heritage engineering in Bicester, but they do have a bit of a problem communicating with the locals, who are interested in the event, but don’t really know anything about the scene. This Scramble was part of a national Classic Car Day called ‘Drive it day’. With the exception of a major show it is always the busiest day of the year for car enthusiasts and that is why it was booked so far in advance. Clubs and groups have been hoovering up the tickets since Christmas as it is in the top 3 venues in the UK, if you follow the BH FB page they have been warning people for weeks that it was close to being fully subscribed. The tickets were capped at 6,500 adults and there were probably close to 8,000 there in total, so it was not as if they were deliberately trying to keep the locals out. Like a lot of popular events, you just need to book early and then you won’t be disappointed!

  8. Wow, this looks amazing. If never even heard of it. So much to do. Now my boys are a bit older (6,4 and 1) we have been thinking about getting some bikes to go and explore. Will try and avoid the flies though
